Richard Rinella is a seasoned entrepreneur and private equity investor, with a notable history in the food and tableware industry. As the former Co-CEO of Restaurantware, a company he founded in 2010 from his Miami apartment, Richard was instrumental in shaping its success and reputation. He led the company's day-to-day operations and strategically expanded its distribution channels, ensuring Restaurantware's position as a leading innovator in the tableware and equipment sector. Before Restaurantware, Richard pioneered a web-based online ordering platform in 2000 that specialized in drop-shipping perishable products directly to restaurants. This early venture laid the foundation for his expertise in logistics and distribution within the food industry. Under his leadership, Restaurantware secured partnerships with every major food distribution company in the U.S., as well as with Amazon, consistently ranking as a top supplier on these platforms. His approach of working directly with factories and controlling distribution enabled Restaurantware to rapidly introduce new products to the market, setting it apart from competitors. In 2023, Richard was bought out of Restaurantware and has since focused on investing in private equity, leveraging his deep industry knowledge and entrepreneurial experience to identify and nurture new business opportunities. Richard holds a BA in History from Lehigh University and continues to reside in Miami, where he explores new ventures and investments.
